In a collaboration with the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), my team and I were tasked to produce a documentary that featured the unique architectural designs of preserved buildings that were past recipients of the Architectural Heritage Awards (AHA). The desire to create a film that more than just feature the designs and layout of a building led to the birth of "Koon Seng Road". Challenging the boundaries, it told the stories of the occupants living in the shophouses, highlighted the changes that happened in the vicinity, and questioned the definition of "preservation of heritage". Our work ultimately premiered at the URA AHA Short Film Fest at The Projector, achieving a 2nd Place standing and the People's Choice Award.
